30 minutes + redskins

I have just been running 30 minutes for most runs, so I will probably try and find other random things to write about until the mileage picks up.

The redskins are now 4-2 after a disappointing loss to the rams yesterday. Fortunately they have a chance to get some momentum back(or completely implode) against the lions and the browns. I am in no way an expert on the sport of football, but I will give an amateur analysis as to why they lost to one of the worst teams in the league. It all starts with the game against the eagles. The eagles served as guinea pigs for future redskins opponents by skewing a well balanced offense towards the run. Unfortunately the eagles werent able to contain the run (200+ yards), but they did manage to keep moss completely out of the game. The rams went for the same thing on defense, and kept moss at bay. This works because it takes away that 20+ yard reception, which can really deflate a defense. Unfortunately moss is only 5'9 (i think) which only leaves short screens and deep play action routes. In addition to getting the redskins to focus on the run, they also forced a couple momentum killing turnovers, which was the second big key to the rams victory considering they only had 200 total yards (redskins 368).
There were some big positives from the loss at least. Portis has been consistent since the giants. Campbell has been looking better every game, staying patient and stepping up into the pocket like a vet and finding his 2nd and 3rd receivers consistently. Finally, the defense only giving up 2oo yards and no touchdowns was pretty impressive considering how many times they had to come back on the field after a momentum killing turnover or with a short field to defend.
The question is what will zorn do next? I think he should stick with what he has been doing all year. They need to stay patient and realize they wont have another game like the last one.
